Dehradun: The Char Dham Yatra 2026 is seeing record-breaking enthusiasm from devotees across India.
According to official figures, 12,60,478 pilgrims have
visited the four shrines — Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri — since the yatra began.

On 13 May 2026 alone, 13,315 pilgrims visited Yamunotri, 13,403 visited Gangotri, 32,427 visited Kedarnath, and 21,260 visited Badrinath.

The yatra has become a symbol of devotion, with pilgrims arriving from all corners of the country. The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway and improved road connectivity have made travel easier, but the sheer number of visitors has created challenges in managing crowds and ensuring safety.

Despite the spiritual fervor, 40 pilgrims have died so far during the yatra.
