New Delhi: A baby snake was found in the mid-day meal served to children at the Government Middle School, Baluaha in Mahisi, Bihar. As per the latest updates,
nearly 300 children felt sick after eating the contaminated mid-day meal.
Immediate medical response and chaos
Following the discovery, the school premises became a scene of chaos as frantic parents and villagers rushed to the site. The 300 affected children were initially transported to the Mahisi Health Centre for emergency care. To ensure the safety of the students and provide specialised monitoring, the Civil Surgeon directed that the children be transferred to the Saharsa Sadar Hospital for advanced treatment.
Medical professionals have categorised the incident as a mass case of food poisoning. Fortunately, the latest updates from the medical teams suggest that the children are currently in stable condition. “The health of the students is being monitored closely, and while the situation was alarming, they are responding well to first aid and treatment,” the Civil Surgeon stated.
