New Delhi: Last week, Toyota teased “something new” last week, and the internet was divided if it was a pickup truck or a full-fledged SUV. In the newest
official preview, it can be confirmed that it is a large SUV with three-row seating and a huge panoramic sunroof.
From the silhouette, it does appear to be a boxy hauler and in their newest interior preview, the SUV comes with a captain’s chair in the second row, and passengers get their own climate control as well. Toyota is likely to bring a six-seat layout with an ample amount of legroom for backseat occupants.
Even though the vehicle remains unnamed, it is likely to be a production version of the bZ Large concept shown back in 2021. The taillight and the connected LED do closely resemble the concept’s design as well.

When to expect the new SUV?
Of course, the production model is going to have traditional side mirrors and bigger door handles. It may be an electric SUV around the size of the Highlander when it hits the market, which is expected to happen later this year, with the model year being 2027. There is also a Subaru counterpart that is in the making, marking the continuation of the brand’s EV collaboration seen with the bZ Woodland/ Trailseeker and bZ/Solterra.
While it can’t be confirmed if it is an EV or just a bigger version of the Innova and Fortuner, or for that matter, if it is coming to India or not, the Japanese brand is debuting it on February 10th. Of course, a familiar nameplate, with a big body and seating map, could help the brand sell in the country.
