New Delhi: Royal Enfield has recorded a Q3 lakh quarterly sales mark for just the second time ever, as it sold 3,01,174 motorcycles in Q1 FY27(April-June
2026). The figure represents a strong 32 per cent year-on-year growth as opposed to the 2,28,779 units sold during the same time period last year.
The brand had previously gone past the 3 lakh quarterly sales milestone in the October-December 2025 period, when it recorded 3,00,426 units, helped by strong festive-season demand.
What has helped Royal Enfield’s strong performance
For Royal Enfield, its dominance in the 350cc motorcycle segment remains quite heavy. Of the brand’s total Q1 FY27 sales, 2,80,136 motorcycles came from the Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350 and Meteor 350. Together, these four models accounted for an impressive 85 per cent share of the segment, which recorded total sales of 3,27,697 units. That number is up by 49 per cent year-on-year.
Bajaj Auto ranked second in the segment with 23,844 units and a 7 per cent share, while Honda made for 18,248 units and 6 per cent. TVS Motors followed with 5,410 units, taking a 2 per cent share.
Royal Enfield also had a strong position in the 350-500cc segment. The Guerrilla 450 and Himalayan 450 collectively recorded sales of 9,883 units, marking a 25 per cent increase over the same period last year. This gave the brand a 59 per cent share of the segment, which recorded total sales of 16,707 units.
In the bigger 500-800cc segment, Royal Enfield sold 11,155 motorcycles, a 9 per cent decline year-on-year. Despite the drop, the brand continued to dominate the segment with a heavy 97 per cent market share. Despite heavy competition, Royal Enfield has managed to hold its ground.
If the brand maintains its current sales momentum throughout FY27, Royal Enfield could cross 12 lakh domestic motorcycle sales in a financial year for the first time. That would put it comfortably ahead of the 11,07,343 units sold in FY26. For now, it is the brand’s best-ever annual domestic sales performance.
