New Delhi: Despite all the controversies surrounding Ferrari’s new EV Luce, the customers are still filling the books for a new car from Maranello. In
fact, order books for 2027 are already filled. Which means that new requests won’t be fulfilled until 2028 at the earliest.
Ferrari says strong customer demand across markets continues to drive new orders as its product lineup expands. New models, including the Amalfi, 849 Testarossa, and the 296 Speciale/296 Speciale A, are slowly entering production. The likes of 296 GTS, Roma Spider and SF90 XX/SF90 XX Spider are nearing the end of their lifecycle.
Deliveries of the flagship F80 are also gathering pace, and recent prototype sightings suggest a convertible Aperta trim could be in the making.
The brand has also expanded the Purosangue’s appeal with the optional Handling Speciale package. Meanwhile, the newly revealed 12Cilindri Manuale, coming with a simulated gated manual gearbox, has already been fully booked.
Despite healthy demand, Ferrari’s deliveries dipped slightly in the first half of 2026. The Italian marque delivered 6,802 cars globally through June, 285 fewer than during the same period last year. Europe, the Middle East and Africa remained its largest markets, accounting for nearly half of total deliveries. Internal combustion engine models accounted for 70 per cent of sales, while hybrid vehicles accounted for the remaining 30 per cent.
Ferrari’s busy 2026 includes launch of two more models
Ferrari still has more launches planned before the end of 2026. The brand had announced five new models for the year, but only three have been officially unveiled so far. That includes the Amalfi Spider, Luce and 12Cilindri Manuale. While the one-off HC25 based on the F8 Spider can’t be counted as a mainstream launch, speculation points to a more hardcore version of the 296, similar to a Challenge Stradale, as one of the remaining debuts. It remains uncertain whether the F80 Aperta will be introduced later this year or pushed to 2027.
Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna noted that the brand now offers “the most complete lineup in history”. He highlighted the addition of models such as the Purosangue SUV and the Luce. Although these vehicles have divided opinion among brand purists, Ferrari continues to enjoy strong commercial momentum and a growing global customer base.
Even the controversial-looking Luce has already achieved its sales target for the year, as per a report from The Financial Times. Ferrari hasn’t revealed how many of these it will make but will be sharing how many potential customers have made deposits. Ferrari has remained tight-lipped about the Luce. Maranello, though, has called it a landmark addition to its product portfolio and an important step in the company’s history.
