Ranbir Kapoor talks about Animal Park
Speaking to Deadline Hollywood, Ranbir Kapoor explained that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently busy with another project. “The director is right now making another film. We should start that film in 2027. It’s a bit away,” he said, addressing speculation around the sequel’s timeline.
When asked about the script, the 43-year-old actor hinted that while the foundation exists, the project is still evolving. “He (Reddy Vanga) just kind of flirted with what he really wants to do with the movie. He wants to make it in three parts. The second part is called Animal Park,” the actor shared. The comment suggests that the Animal universe may expand far beyond a single sequel.
Ranbir also opened up about his creative involvement in shaping the follow-up. “We have been sharing ideas from the first film itself. How he wants to take the story forward,” he said. What makes the sequel especially intriguing for him is the challenge it brings. “It’s very exciting because now I get to play two characters, the antagonist and the protagonist. So extremely exciting project and an extremely original director, and I’m very excited to be a part of it.”
