Bhaijaan actor learned about the film being made, he sent a legal notice to its makers, seeking a ban on the film’s release and removal of all promotional material.
Now, the producer of the film, Amit Jani, shared a video message where he was seen tearing up the legal notice sent by the actor. He even revealed that he has been getting death threats from the actor’s fans.
Kala Hiran producer tears up legal notice
In the video, Kala Hiran producer Amit Jani claimed that he has been receiving death threats ever since the announcement of the movie and said that he isn’t scared of anybody. He even lashed out at Salman Khan for dragging the matter to court. He further called Salman Khan’s fans ‘badtameez and chapri’.
He can be heard saying in the video, “People keep asking me, the media, friends, what response should be given to the notice from Salman Khan. What should I reply to this notice? For the past 36 years, all his fans from Dharavi to Jogeshwari have sent 1,000 messages, including death threats, saying they will cut my head off I come to Mumbai. So,ooo whom should I answer? Should I respond to the thousands of abuses delivered through Salman Khan’s toolkit, to those threats, or should I answer this notice? This is my Reply to the notice.”
Now, your threats have arrived, those from the people who gave you your toolkit – Your rude fans, the street thugs raised in Dharavi, or the so-called fans living in Dongri and Jogeshwari, and the kind of messages we are getting from D Company saying they will finish off my family. You have got the reply to that notice. Now, we will deal with D Company,” he further added.
What is Kala Hiran all about?
Kala Hiran is based on the blackbuck poaching case involving Salman Khan. Soon after the movie was announced and a poster was released, Salman Khan sent a legal notice to the makers, claiming that it harms the reputation of Salman Khan, interferes with the ongoing judicial proceedings, and violates his personality rights.
The director of the film, Bharat Shrinate, told News9 Digital earlier that the film is about the “Battle of Legacy”. He said, “It is about the Battle of Legacy. It is a story about Kala Hiran. He is killed in 1998.” He repeatedly stated that he is making film on Kala Hiran and not Salman Khan. He then went on to declare, It is about Kala Hiran. This is not about Salman Khan. This is about Kala Hiran. If someone thinks it is about Kala Hiran… this is not my problem. I have made the film on Kala Hiran. I have not made a biopic on Salman Khan.”
He further added, “The Bishnoi community considers Kala Hiran as a child. If someone thinks it is about Kala Hiran. This is not my problem. I have made the film on Kala Hiran. I have not made a biopic on Salman Khan.”
