Mumbai: Days after the deadly plane crash claimed the life of former Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, his son Rohit Pawar today held a press
questions and raised several questions about the accident. On July 28, Ajit Pawar and four others lost their lives after their plane crashed just before landing in Baramati.
Speaking to the media persons, he posed several questions. Among the questions he asked was whether the plane had a mechanical failure. “Was the plane checked before take-off? Should the employees responsible for the check be arrested and questioned?,” he asked.

In a series of questions, the NCP leader and MLA from Karjat-Jamkhed constituency, he went on to ask about the plane’s technicians and asked whether anyone performed the routine line maintenance. “Where is the CCTV of the hangar? Where is the report on when the plane underwent heavy base maintenance?,” he went on to ask.
He had recently stated that there were doubts over the Baramati crash and had promised a detailed presentation on February 10. “I have many doubts in my mind, along with those of Maharashtra, regarding the tragic demise of Ajit dada in the Baramati plane crash. In this regard, today (Tuesday, February 10) at 4 PM, I will hold a press conference at Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, Mumbai, to present in detail important and eye-opening points,” Rohit Pawar wrote on X.
The plane crash that killed Ajit Pawar
On January 28, Ajit Pawar was on his way to Baramati for an election campaign. However, just before landing, his plane crashed, leading to his death along with four others. Following his death, his wife Sunetra Pawar was elected leader of the NCP in Maharashtra Assembly, following which she was sworn in as next Maharashtra Deputy CM.
