New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has notified not to believe false messages on Telegram and other social media claiming that the JEE Main 2026
question papers got leaked. The NTA has made it clear that the question papers are not being shared, sold, or leaked on various social media platforms.
The exam conducting authority has asked candidates to rely only on official information published in the NTA websites and other verified communication channels.
The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exams are scheduled to be held from January 21 to January 29. The first shift of the day 1 exam commenced from 9 AM to 12 soon on January 21. The second shift of the exam was from 3 PM to 6 PM.
Regarding the false rumour on the question paper leak on social media, NTA stated, ‘Such claims are fraudulent and intended to scam students; they often request money or personal information. Engaging in these scams can lead to financial loss and misinformation.’
‘To avoid falling victim to such fraudulent schemes, the NTA has advised students to rely only on the NTA’s official websites and announcements for reliable information,’ the notice further stated.
NTA JEE Main exam review
The JEE Main 2026 January 21 shift 1 exam was moderate to tough as per candidates and experts. The Chemistry section was the most difficult, followed by Mathematics and Physics.
The JEE Main 2026 session 1 day 2 exams will be held tomorrow, January 22. Candidates appearing for the exam must carry the admit card and a valid identity proof.
JEE Mains 2026 session 2 registration
The JEE Main 2026 session 2 registration will begin in the last week of January 2026. The exam will be held between April 1 and April 10. Candidates appearing for session 2 can check the NTA’s website for information on exam dates, shift timings, and other details.
