New Delhi: The search for the new James Bond is underway as the new era 007 is set to begin. Four years after Daniel Craig bid farewell to the iconic character

with No Time To Die, the casting for the new James Bond is underway. Soon after the announcement, several names started to circulate online while netizens also dropped their recommendations.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Amazon MGM Studios shared an update. They said in a statement, “The search for the next James Bond is underway. While we don’t plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right.”

Who will be the next James Bond?

According to Variety’s report, auditions for the next James Bond film quietly began a few weeks back, with acclaimed casting director Nina Gold helping the search for the actor who will replace Craig in the popular franchise. Nina Gold is known for her work on Games of Thrones, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Martian, Conclave, and The Crown, among others.

In recent months, the internet has been flooded with rumours of who could be the next James Bond, and several names have circulated, including Jacob Elordi, Callum Turner and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. According to the Guardian, reports suggest that Euphoria star Jacob Elordi may be the frontrunner for the role, and the actor is in “pole position” to bag it. If the reports turn out to be true, then he would become the youngest actor to essay the iconic role of James Bond.

Apart from them, a few other actors may also be contenders for the role, including Henry Cavill, Tom Holland, Babygirl actor Harris Dickinson, Theo James, Jonathan Bailey, Jack Lowden, and James Norton.
