New Delhi: With the Delhi Police preventing INDIA Bloc leaders from going to the Election Commission on the issue of Special Intensive Revision (SIR),
Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi shared a video on social media, accusing the Centre of preventing them from meeting CEC Gyanesh Kumar.
Taking to his X handle, Rahul Gandhi said in a video message, “Look all around. All the Opposition MPs are gathered here. We want to go to the Election Commission. We want to question Gyanesh Kumar on votes theft. We have been stopped here. We are the country’s elected representatives. We are all being stopped here. PM Narendra Modi ji, Amit Shah, and Mohan Bhagwat have hijacked the country.”
Nobody would escape accountability: Rahul Gandhi
Earlier Rahul Gandhi said nobody would escape accountability. “I am not interested in what the BJP says. I am standing here to protect democracy in the country. Along with me, 300 Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs had come and they are also trying to protect democracy,” he said while speaking to reporters as per PTI.
He added, “Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Mohan Bhagwat and CEC Gyanesh Kumar have finished off democracy in the country. The whole country believes this, the youth also believe it. The police people who were stopping me are also saying this. The reality is known to everyone.”
More than 300 Opposition MPs marched from Parliament to the Election Commission today to meet the Election Commissioners.
We represent crores of Indians.
– Why aren’t the Election Commissioners meeting us?
– Why is the police stopping and threatening us? https://t.co/tlIck8WoZX— Rahul Gandhi (@RahulGandhi) October 6, 2026
“There will be action against them. None of them will be spared, be it PM Modi, Home Minister Shah, RSS chief Bhagwat or CEC Gyanesh Kumar. What has been done to our country is treason. Nobody is going to escape,” the senior Congress leader further said.
