New Delhi: Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 20is set to have its grand premiere on September 6, 2026. With just weeks to go, several names of the rumoured
contestants have started to circulate on the internet.
Apart from the rumoured contestants, some interesting details about the contestants contracts have also been reported by the Indian Express.
Bigg Boss 20 contract details
According to a report by Indian Express, every contestant sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) before they sign their first contract. According to NDA, they are not allowed to disclose any details about their participation in the show.
Then comes the second document, which is their first contract. It is different for every contestant and explains the details about the show, penalties and punishments if rules violated, and states clauses about do’s and don’ts. It further states their weekly fees and the minimum amount they are guaranteed to earn on the show. The MG (Minimum guarantee) give contestants immunity for a first few days or weeks, which means even if they get nominated, they wouldn’t be evicted unless they violate a major role of the show.
Once this ‘MG’ ends, every contestants immunity depends on their performance and fan following. A source told the publication that winning is not guaranteed, but certain contestants are promised that they would make it to top 5 or 6 and winning the show is based on audiences votes.
Once the show gets its top 5 or 6, contestants sign the winner contract. The contract states the terms they are obligated to fulfil once they win the show. It also states that the winner is decided by the votes and performances, and in case someone doesn’t win, they cannot accuse the makers of biasness.
The first contract is signed just a day prior or on the day contestants enter the house. Until then, the contestants have to abide by the clauses mentioned in the NDA. However, no contestant is promised that they will be declared winner.
