New Delhi: Nitesh Tiwari’s highly-anticipated film, Ramayana: Part One will release in theatres on November 6 in India and globally.
Earlier, the makers
announced the release date of the film November 6. However, in an interview with NDTV, producer Namit Malhotra said that they are aiming for a Diwali release, which is November 8, in India.
Ramayana release date in India
Sony Pictures Entertainment is set to release Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana: Part One on November 6 in India and internationally.
The epic stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Arun Govil as King Dasharath, Rakul Preet Sinmgh as Surpanakha, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Anupam Kher as Jatayu, among others.

Sony Pictures will also distribute the film across 50,000 screens in international markets, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
The film has been made for audiences across cultures and it will be released in multiple languages, including English.
In the trailer released earlier, people were impressed with the English trailer of Ramayana than the Hindi trailer. The clip showed high-scale visual effects, mythological weaponry, and massive battles between Rama and Ravana’s army across three worlds to rescue Sita.

The film’s music score is lead by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman while the while the action sequences are being choreographed by Terry Notary and Guy Norris and the production design is by Ramsey Avery and Ravi Bansal.
The film will be released in two parts, Ramayana: Part One and Ramayana: Part Two, which is scheduled for Diwali 2027 release.
The film is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. Made on a reported budget of Rs 4,000 crore, the film’s visual effects are being handled by the eight-time Oscar-winning house, DNEG, whose credits include Dune, Interstellar, and Inception, among others.
The film’s Indian disctribution will be handled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
