New Delhi: DC Studios has released the official trailer for its upcoming drama series Lanterns, offering fans a first look at the much-awaited adaptation
of the iconic Green Lantern characters. The trailer debuted during the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) panel, where the cast and creators shared new details about the eight-episode series ahead of its global premiere.
The panel featured cast members Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, Garret Dillahunt and Poorna Jagannathan, alongside co-creators Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof and Tom King.
When and where to watch LANTERNS
Lanterns will premiere in India on August 17, streaming exclusively on JioHotstar alongside its worldwide release.
The series follows John Stewart (Aaron Pierre), a new recruit, and veteran Lantern Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic law enforcers investigating a murder in the American heartland. As the case unfolds, the duo uncovers a mystery with cosmic connections that could have far-reaching consequences.

Along with Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre, the series also stars Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, Laura Linney, Jason Ritter, Ulrich Thomsen, Nathan Fillion, J Alphonse Nicholson and Jasmine Cephas Jones.
Based on DC’s iconic Green Lantern comics, the series is co-created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof and Tom King, who also co-wrote the pilot episode. Mundy serves as the showrunner, while James Hawes directs the opening two episodes. The remaining episodes are helmed by Stephen Williams, Geeta Vasant Patel and Alik Sakharov.
