New Delhi: In a regulatory filing, Hyundai Motor India announced that it will hike prices across its entire lineup in September 2026. Models will see a price surge
of up to 1 per cent. The brand has said rising input and commodity costs, higher operational expenses and continuing geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainties are contributing factors for the price hike.
Hyundai hasn’t revealed the revised prices for its models, and the brand even said it will vary by model and trims.
Based on the trim, Hyundai customers might see prices hike by around Rs 7,767 to Rs 23,672. The automaker said it has continued to take steps to control expenses and absorb higher input costs wherever possible to limit the burden on buyers. However, with cost pressures remaining elevated, Hyundai has decided to pass on a portion of the additional expenses through a relatively small price revision.
This marks Hyundai’s third price increase in India this year. The company had previously revised prices in January and June 2026. In January, the brand had made an average price hike of around 0.6 per cent. The brand then announced in April that the car prices would surge from May 2026 by up to 1 per cent, which they delayed until June.
How Hyundai’s lineup stands
The brand has a wide range of products to offer, from SUVs to hatchbacks. The SUV segment offerings include Exter, Venue, Creta and Alcazar, along with saloons like Verna and Aura. It also offers hatchbacks including the Grand i10 Nios and i20, alongside EVs like the Ioniq 5 and Creta Electric.
Hyundai’s lineup is quite wide in terms of price range, offering something like the i10 that is right above Rs 5.55 lakh and the Ioniq 5 being the costliest one, coming at Rs 55.70 lakh. Competition has been hiking prices as well, including the likes of Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki and more. Auto brands have hiked prices multiple times this year owing to the uncertainties in the market supply.
