Nepal Ministers Quit After Protest Deaths

Nepal's agriculture and health ministers resigned on Tuesday, September 9, a day after the protests against social media ban in the country turned violent.

resigned on the morning of September 9.

Soon after, Nepal's Health Minister Pradip Paudel also tendered his resignation, reported India Today.

With these resignations, a total of three ministers have resigned following the protests against the social media ban erupted on Monday, September 8.

Nepal's Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak resigned on the evening of September 8, after the agitation turned violent and police crackdown killed at least 18 young citizens.
