As per police sources quoted by NDTV, an investigation has been initiated against three individuals, Satish Daryanani, Ricky Vasandani and actor Vivek Oberoi. As per the complaint, the alleged conspiracy unfolded between 2021 and September 2025. In the beginning, it was just small diamond purchases that were made and payments were cleared on time to build trust. Once credibility was established, the complainant was allegedly offered a 25 percent stake in Solitaire Diamonds ahead of its proposed IPO in Dubai. Tempted by the prospect, he handed over high value diamonds. In return, post dated cheques were issued, which later bounced. Investigators have also flagged allegations of forged signatures and the use of fake logos and seals to create documents that appeared legitimate. According to sources within the EOW, lower priced stones were allegedly returned via courier to create a paper trail suggesting that goods had been sent back. The case, officials say, is currently at a preliminary stage with bank transactions and documents under close scrutiny.
