On
the shore of Bandstand in Bandra, where the Arabian sea flings salt air against the colonial-wea walls, is a six-storey villa that has slowly become one of India's most photographed addresses. Mannat, the Hindi word for a heartfelt wish or vow, is the home of Shah Rukh Khan, and its name alone feels like a prophecy fulfilled. Every evening, hundreds of fans gather at its wrought-iron gates simply to breathe the same air as the man they call King Khan.
The mansion was not always so luminous. Built in the early twentieth century during the British Raj, the property was originally known as Villa Vienna. The walls here are colonial. It features high ceilings arched like benedictions, thick limestone walls that keep the sea heat at bay, and wide verandas designed for a slower era. SRK purchased it in 2001 for a reported Rs 13.32 crore. Also Read:

Everything About SRK's Mannat
Built over 27,000+ square feet, the luxurious mansion has six floors. After renovation, it will go up to 8. Spread over these floors are five bedrooms, a state-of-the-art gym, a stunning swimming pool, an extravagant library, Shahrukh’s office, a magnificent terrace, and a private movie theatre. Each part of the house is well-designed and has a personal touch given by Gauri Khan.
The house's entrance has a neo-classical look, all done in white. Dating back to the 1920s, this mansion has large white pillars, classic French windows, and stunning designer lights that add to the elegance of this space. While the outside is all done in white, the interior of the house has a common theme, with neutrals like beige, cream, and brown taking the lead. Wooden flooring and beige walls take the lead. Adding to the colour pallet are leather pieces of furniture that are just as extravagant and stunning. The upper floors belong to family and privacy. A dedicated floor serves as a cinema room and entertainment suite. This is where SRK is said to screen rushes of his films before the world sees them. The terrace, open to the full width of the sea, offers what may be Mumbai's most coveted view. It is the kind of vista that makes one believe anything is possible. Among the special spaces is a library that winds across multiple rooms, holding tens of thousands of volumes. There is also a dedicated gym and wellness floor, a wine cellar, and a rooftop garden where the family is said to spend evenings watching the sea shift colours. Then comes the garage wing which accommodates a collection of automobiles including Rolls-Royces and BMWs.Also Read:

It is grand, in every sense. Yet behind those walls, a family has made its ordinary life extraordinary. The Rs 200 crore valuation tells one story. The name - a wish, a prayer, a promise to oneself - tells quite another.
