The bride, Yashaswini Jindal, is the only daughter of BJP MP and industrialist Naveen Jindal and Kuchipudi dancer Shallu Jindal. Born in March 1999, she reportedly completed her schooling in New Delhi before pursuing higher studies at Yale University, where she earned a BS in Psychology and a certificate in advanced Mandarin language study. She is also trained in Kuchipudi under gurus Raja & Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy, keeping her connection to classical arts alive. The groom, Shashvat Somany, reportedly comes from another well-established industrial family. He is the son of Sandeep and Sumita Somany, with Sandeep serving as the Chairman and MD of Somany Impresa Ltd, a leading name in sanitaryware, glass and construction materials. Shashvat completed his BA in Economics and Psychology from UCLA, followed by an MBA from London Business School. He currently works as the Head of Strategy at his family business group.

Who Is Naveen Jindal?

Naveen Jindal, the youngest of the Jindal brothers, is the Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power and a Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra. He is also the founder-chancellor of OP Jindal University. According to his 2024 Lok Sabha affidavit, he reportedly owns movable assets worth around ₹1,230 crore, immovable assets of about ₹11 crore and roughly 20 kg of gold, alongside multiple properties and luxury vehicles. Earlier, Kangana Ranaut also posted rehearsal pictures, reportedly showing a surprising mix of politicians preparing a dance performance. Infact a video of Kangana, TMC MP Mahua Moitra and NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule also went viral on social media, where the three were seen dancing during the wedding celebrations of industrialist-turned-politician Naveen Jindal’s daughter. The trio performed to a lead track from the movie 'Om Shanti Om'.
