For
a man who once famously said "every brick, every stone, everything is made of my blood, sweat, and hard work," Anil Kapoor's real estate portfolio speaks louder than any film dialogue. Spanning four countries and decades of careful investment, the Bollywood icon has built a property empire which is just as enduring as his career.
The Juhu Fortress, Which Is Also The Crown Jewel
The story of Anil Kapoor's primary home in Mumbai is the story of his career - built one floor at a time. Located at 31 Shrinagar Residency Society, North-South Road No. 7, in the prestigious Juhu Vile Parle Development (JVPD) Scheme, the property affectionately nicknamed the "AK Residence" by fans is today a sprawling four-storey bungalow valued at approximately Rs 30 crore. When Kapoor first moved in, he could only afford a single floor of the building. Over the decades, as his stardom grew, he gradually acquired the remaining floors, eventually converting the entire structure into a private family residence.
At approximately 10,000 sq. ft, the mansion is a world in itself. The interiors were designed by his wife Sunita Kapoor, a trained interior designer. A lush terrace garden offers the family a serene escape from the Mumbai bustle. A state-of-the-art private gym within the home is also well-documented, widely credited as the engine behind Kapoor's legendarily fit physique. In JVPD, real estate prices start at Rs 30,000 per sq. ft., underscoring just how prime the address is. Kapoor once revealed that he refused to marry Sunita until he could afford his own home. That dream came true after Hum Paanch, and the day he carried baby Sonam into their first home remains etched in his heart. Over time, he pieced together the floors of what was once an apartment block until it became his signature bungalow. For him, it’s not just real estate. It’s sweat, persistence, and proof that dreams pay off if you stay the course.
The Bandra Buy: A New Addition with Son Harsh Varrdhan Worth Rs 5 Crore
In a more recent real estate move, Anil and his son Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor jointly purchased an apartment in Bandra West, Mumbai, for Rs 5 crore in August 2025. As per reports, the property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards on the Maharashtra IGR website confirmed the transaction. The apartment, located in The Smoky Hill CHS Ltd., has a built-up area of approximately 1,165 sq. ft. and a carpet area of 970.71 sq. ft., and comes with a garage space. The deal attracted a stamp duty of Rs 30 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000. Bandra West, home to some of Bollywood's biggest names and in close proximity to the Bandra Kurla Complex, remains one of Mumbai's most premium micro-markets.
A Mayfair Address In London
Beyond Mumbai, Kapoor's global portfolio is equally impressive. He owns a property in Mayfair, one of London's most exclusive and historically significant neighbourhoods. According to Dwello, the London residence carries a Victorian design aesthetic, with ornate mouldings, rich wooden flooring, and an all-white interior palette that maximises natural light and exudes timeless sophistication. Specific financials on the London property have not been publicly disclosed.
The Al Furjan Apartment In Dubai
Kapoor's Dubai property has an interesting backstory. He announced the purchase himself at a press conference in the UAE. He described it as a "modest apartment," adding, "I feel anybody who invests should stay within the line they can afford and not overstretch themselves." The apartment, a two-bedroom unit purchased from developer Danube, is located in Al Furjan near Discovery Gardens. Confirming Kapoor's practical philosophy toward investment, the Dubai buy puts him in the company of fellow Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who have also invested in UAE real estate.
Orange County, California
Rounding out his international portfolio is a property in Orange County, California, which is one of the United States' most desirable and high-value residential markets. Details of the California home remain sparse in the public domain, but its existence has been confirmed in real estate analyses of Kapoor's overall holdings.
