Idukki
A densely forested mountainous region, Idukki is the most beautiful hill station down south, thanks to its various sanctuaries, tea gardens, Periyar National Park, and a tiger and elephant reserve. If you are even more interested in knowing the city better, pay a visit to the vast curved Idukki Dam, which is the world’s second and Asia’s first arch dam, situated far down south of Idukki. Coorg
Called the Scotland of South by the British then, Coorg is mesmerizing for its stunning mountains and misty landscapes. This hilly terrain of the south is also famous for the rich coffee plantations that it takes pride in, producing delicious coffee. Coorg is the largest producer of coffee in India. It is also the only place in South India with a Tibetan settlement and is also home to the Kodavas, a local clan specializing in martial arts. Other things one can opt for while at Coorg are experiencing the wobbling bridge walk in the rainforests of Coorg, rappelling at Chelavara waterfalls, quad biking, and much more.
Yercaud
A hill station town in Tamil Nadu, Yercaud is known for its orange groves, coffee, fruit, and spice plantations. This town is also known as the Jewel of the South; Yercaud means "lake forest". Situated in the Shevaroy Hills, the town also has a lake called Big Lake, with a floating garden at its center.
