For anyone who has traveled to Asian countries, swears by Japan’s most populous prefecture, Tokyo.
Besides being the political and economic center of the country, Tokyo is also home to the Emperor of Japan.
With all the important factors associated with Tokyo that make it a must-visit, the city is also a bustling center for tourists and all things touristy. The city is also home to ancient temples, lit shopping centers, delicious foods, and whatnot. On your next annual holiday, plan a trip to Tokyo and try and do one of the things listed.
Robot Restaurant
With technology being a huge part of Japan, it is no surprise that you will find a robot-themed restaurant that will blow your mind away. Machines with neon flashy lights and food served among much frenzy and a great show.
It is located in the Shinjuku Kabukicho area, which is the biggest red-light district in Tokyo and is also called ‘the district that never sleeps.' Though a bit expensive, it is worth the experience.
The Ueno Park and Zoo
Almost like an oasis in the center of Tokyo city, Ueno is the city’s largest green space, housing numerous temples and museums. Spread over an area of 212 acres, the park offers a small boat trip. There is also a 17th-century Toshogu Shrine that adorns 256 bronze and stone lanterns.
The zoo is Japan’s oldest and is among the famous tourist attractions not only for its more than 300 animals comprising 400 species, but also for the pandas.
The Imperial Palace
A monument of historical architecture, this 17th-century palace is one of the chief attractions of Tokyo. One can also take a guided tour of the Imperial Palace and soak in the history, the Mount Fuji view it has to offer, and much more. Another famous thing to do around is the Nijubashi Bridge and the two-meter-thick wall surrounding the palace.
A few other attractions are the Edo Castle, Harajuku, and the hot spring of Onsen.
