Tura, with its beautiful landscapes, the virgin forest, with streams falling, green valleys, the twittering of birds, and the growling of animals like tigers, deer, leopards, elephants, etc., is no less than others. However, Tura is unknown to many people because what we see depends on what we look for in a hill city. It’s a belief that Tura has a lot to offer for nature lovers.

Visit Balphakram National Park
The native pagans believe it to be the home of souls, and the region can boast of one of those few places on Earth where the pitcher plant locally known as memang kokshi, grows.

are the most beautiful natural sights seen in Tura. Going along the curvy roads of Tura, we can go to the Gandrak Falls.
Cenotaph
Located 2km from Tura Bazar, Cenotaph was built in the memories of Garo laborers, who sacrificed themselves in WWI in France. To pay tribute to them every year, the 16th of July is celebrated as Garo Labour Crops Day.

To enjoy the fragrance of the tea garden and the aroma of tea leaf processing, you must go to Rongram Tebronggre Road, and if your luck favors you, you may find wild elephants crossing the way or holding their trunks out in the sky.
The 19th-century British-American Cemetery also stands as a tourist attraction.
This cemetery was restored by the British Association for Cemetery in South Asia on 21st February 2007. The Roman Catholic Cathedral at Mohoripara is also an attraction of Tura.
Apart from these, many more spots such as Pelga waterfalls, Nehru Park, and a botanical garden where different types of orchids, rhododendrons, and pitcher plants are grown. We find various species of butterflies abound in the region, not forgetting to mention the various tropical trees found. The North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU)campus, the Meghalaya Board of Secondary Education (MBOSE)head office, the Doordarshan Kendra-Tura, the All-India Radio (AIR) station and many more are the attractions of this small town. The natural beauty of the region with good road connectivity is the main attraction of the city.
