In a statement, the airline said, "Our foremost priority continues to be the care of our customers. As part of this, following the operational disruption, we have ensured that all necessary refunds for cancelled flights have been initiated, most of which have already reflected in your accounts, with the remainder following shortly."
IndiGo said passengers who booked through travel partner platforms will also receive refunds, but noted that it may not have complete details of all customers. It has asked affected travellers to write to customer.experience@goindigo.in for assistance.

The airline acknowledged the scale of the disruption, saying, "IndiGo regrettably acknowledges that part of our customers travelling on 3/4/5 December 2025 were stranded for many hours at certain airports and number of them were severely impacted due to congestion." Severely impacted passengers will receive the ₹10,000 vouchers, which can be used for any future IndiGo journey over the next 12 months.
The carrier added that the vouchers are over and above compensation mandated under existing government rules, under which passengers whose flights were cancelled within 24 hours of departure are entitled to ₹5,000–₹10,000 based on flight duration.
Under DGCA norms, compensation is payable when cancellations are due to reasons directly attributable to the airline. No compensation is required if disruptions stem from extraordinary circumstances such as bad weather, ATC restrictions, government directives, security issues, natural disasters, political unrest, labour disruptions or other force majeure events.
