Akasa Air has issued a travel advisory urging passengers to arrive well in advance and prepare for additional screening measures.
The airline advised travellers to reach the airport at least three hours before departure and carry valid government-approved photo identification for entry. Only one piece of hand baggage weighing up to 7 kg will be allowed in addition to checked luggage, and all passengers will undergo secondary security screening before boarding.
βTo save time, we encourage you to check in online,β Akasa Air said, thanking passengers for their patience and cooperation.
Other major carriers, including IndiGo, Air India and SpiceJet, are yet to issue similar advisories but are expected to follow regulatory directions as security remains on high alert.

Blast triggers coast-to-coast alert
The explosion in a slow-moving Hyundai i20 near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort metro station on Monday evening triggered a fire that engulfed nearby vehicles and sent shock waves across Old Delhi.
Authorities said the vehicle was near a traffic signal when the blast occurred, igniting nearby autos and two-wheelers. Central agencies, including the National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG) and Delhi Police, are investigating the case under terror- and explosives-related laws.
In response, states across the country have heightened alerts, increased patrolling and deployed bomb-disposal units.
