Lansdowne
Lansdowne is one of those rare hill stations that hasn’t turned into a massive commercial circus (yet). The pace here is slow and comforting. You can start your morning with a walk around Tip-in-Top Point or visit the quiet St Mary’s Church that dates back to colonial times. The lake, Bhulla Tal, is perfect if all you want is a paddle boat ride and some time in the sun. Evenings are best spent sipping chai while watching the sky turn peach and purple.
