Rajasthan’s rail network is getting a major boost with the launch of two new Vande Bharat Express trains, connecting Delhi with Jodhpur and Bikaner. These
high-speed, semi-luxury trains will make same-day travel between the national capital and these historic cities faster, more convenient, and comfortable. The announcement had come from Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who shared the news on X, highlighting how his government was pushing for development of railway infrastructure to secure a "developed Rajasthan."
Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express
The Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 26481/26482) will operate six days a week, except Tuesdays, and started operations on Saturday, September 27.Departure from Jodhpur: 5:25 AM
Arrival in Delhi Cantt: 1:30 PM
Return from Delhi Cantt: 3:10 PM
Arrival in Jodhpur: 11:20 PM
The train will halt at Medta Road, Degana, Makrana, Phulera, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, and Gurgaon, ensuring connectivity across key stations in Rajasthan and Haryana. It features seven AC Chair Car coaches and one Executive AC Chair Car coach.

Bikaner–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express
Bikaner is welcoming its first Vande Bharat Express. This new service will link Bikaner with Delhi Cantt, making same-day return trips feasible for business and leisure travellers.Departure from Bikaner: 5:45 AM

In addition to these two trains that connect Delhi to Rajasthan, a new long distance service, which will connect Udaipur to Chandigarh, has also been announced. With these new Vande Bharat Express trains, travellers can now enjoy faster rail travel, modern onboard amenities, and the convenience of same-day return trips between Delhi and key cities in Rajasthan. Reservations are already open via IRCTC website and app, as well as at railway booking counters.
