International travel seems like a distant dream, something that would require months of planning and a fat wallet. But sometimes a creator comes along
and shatters that notion. Manpreet Kaur, an Indian travel influencer, proved that you can experience Vietnam in just ₹40K . Not only did the influencer manage a detailed itinerary, but she took advantage of her budget to experience a lot in a short space of time. It’s not just about the budget, but what you are able to experience and take home, in just seven days, that really makes the travel worthwhile. From busy city streets to relaxed beach towns to stunning postcard scenes, her travelogue doesn't feel rushed, but instead feels like a trip that is being enjoyed at just the right pace. Each day brings a new mood, a new setting, and a new reason to fall in love with Vietnam.
Day 1–2: Diving Into Ho Chi Minh City
Starting her journey from Delhi, Manpreet landed in the vibrant Ho Chi Minh City. The first day was all about settling in, grabbing a quick bánh mì and exploring the buzzing streets.
By Day 2 Manpreet was fascinating in the city’s history and culture. From the immersive War Remnants Museum to the magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon and the bustling Ben Thanh Market, every destination was eye-opening.
She concluded the day with local culinary staples, a cup of robust Vietnamese coffee and a comforting bowl of pho.
Day 3–5: Beaches, Bridges & Lantern Nights
Next, she hopped over to Da Nang for a slower paced, beachy retreat. A night on the beach followed by a day at the beautiful Dragon Bridge was just what she needed.
The real treat, however, was a day trip to Hội An. Strolling the lantern-lit streets, riverside cafés, the whole place was like a spell. You barely need a filter in a place like this. Just be present.
In Da Nang, she also took a trip to the famed Ba Na Hills. A little lift off the ground from the rest of her trip.
Day 6–7: Chaos & Calm in Hanoi
The final stretch brought her to Hanoi, a city with plenty of energy and surprises. Strolling through the Old Quarter and watching the famous Hanoi Train Street were an adventure in themselves.
Her last day was reserved for the breathtaking Ha Long Bay, where limestone cliffs rise dramatically from emerald waters - a peaceful, picture-perfect ending to the trip.
A Budget Trip That Feels Anything But Basic
What is inspiring about Manpreet’s travel is the way she managed to balance out both experience and budget. Juggling with flights, stay, food, travel and everything else she proved that international travel doesn’t have to be expensive. It just takes a bit of planning.
Her itinerary is proof that you can explore bustling cities, serene beaches, and iconic landscapes - all within a week and within budget. Because the best trips aren’t necessarily the most luxurious ones they are the ones that stayed with you when you return.
