What's Happening?
The University of Strathclyde has inaugurated the Advanced Net Zero Innovation Centre (ANZIC) at the Rolls-Royce facility in Inchinnan, Renfrewshire. This new national facility is designed to support the UK's transition to a net zero economy by fostering innovation, collaboration, and advanced manufacturing. ANZIC offers open-access, industrial-scale research, testing, and development capabilities focused on clean energy, transport, and digital technologies. The Centre integrates Strathclyde's research expertise with the Power Networks Demonstration Centre (PNDC) and the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) to de-risk and accelerate solutions. Supported by Innovate UK and aligned with the UK Government's Net Zero Strategy, ANZIC aims to drive transformative change in energy systems and electric propulsion technologies.
