Amtrak is introducing the 'NextGen' Acela trains, which will travel between Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C. at speeds of up to 160 miles per hour, an increase from the current 150 mph. Manufactured by Alstom, the trains will initially include five new trainsets, with all 28 expected by 2027.
