Providence Care has inaugurated the Centre for Digital Health Research (CDHR) in Kingston, Ontario, establishing it as the first dedicated hub in southeastern Ontario focused on healthcare and digital technology innovation. Led by Dr. Nazanin Alavi, the centre will collaborate with Queen’s University and Kingston Health Sciences Centre to develop and implement evidence-based digital tools aimed at improving patient care across various health disciplines. The CDHR will concentrate on areas such as mental health, radiology, and cardiology, utilizing artificial intelligence for patient triage and clinical decision-making. Dr. Alavi, a recognized leader in digital mental health innovation, has conducted over 15 clinical trials related to digital mental health and continues AI research to enhance patient-doctor relationships.
