Aclara Resources has partnered with Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University to operate a rare earth separation pilot plant at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center in Blacksburg. The plant will utilize Aclara's solvent extraction technology to produce high-purity light and heavy rare earth elements, including didymium/praseodymium-neodymium, terbium, and dysprosium. This initiative aims to create a sustainable supply chain for critical rare earth elements outside of China, leveraging Aclara's Brazil-sourced feedstock.
