What's Happening?
Buzz HPC, a subsidiary of Hive Digital Technologies, has partnered with Bell Canada to build a nationwide AI infrastructure using Nvidia GPUs, fully hosted in Canadian-owned facilities. This initiative aims to provide secure access to large-scale AI computing resources while adhering to strict data residency rules. The deployment will begin in Manitoba with a 5 MW site, expanding into additional Bell AI Fabric data centers across multiple provinces. The infrastructure is designed to support foundational AI models, industry applications, and government projects, ensuring data remains under Canadian jurisdiction. The collaboration will integrate Buzz HPC's Nvidia-accelerated computing resources with Bell's fiber network and data centers, creating a comprehensive AI ecosystem.
