The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is set to expand its digital licensing and tagging program to encompass all recreational hunting, fishing, and combination license types starting August 15. Initially launched in 2022 for select license categories, the digital option allows hunters and anglers to purchase licenses online, store them on mobile devices, and tag harvests using the Texas Hunt & Fish mobile app. The expansion, approved by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission in March, extends the app's capabilities to include harvest reporting and registration for all license types, such as deer, wild turkey, oversized red drum, and spotted seatrout.
