What's Happening?
Disney Dreamlight Valley has introduced new features allowing players to expand and upgrade their virtual homes. Players can now increase the size of their homes by completing the Dreamlight Valley Economy 101 Quest for Scrooge McDuck, which involves selling gems to Goofy. Once completed, an elevator is installed in the player's home, enabling access to an expansion menu where Star Coins can be used to increase floor space. Players can add up to 20 floors, each starting with one room, and can expand to include up to three additional rooms per floor. Room sizes can be customized, ranging from 3x3 to 12x12, with costs varying based on size. External upgrades are also available to enhance the house's appearance.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of house expansion features in Disney Dreamlight Valley enhances the gaming experience by providing players with more customization options and goals to achieve. This development is significant for the gaming industry as it reflects a trend towards more interactive and personalized gaming environments. Players who invest time and resources into expanding their virtual homes may experience increased engagement and satisfaction, potentially leading to higher retention rates for the game. Additionally, the use of in-game currency, Star Coins, for upgrades encourages players to participate in various game activities to earn these coins, thereby increasing overall game interaction.
What's Next?
Future updates may introduce additional floors beyond the current limit of 20, maintaining the cost at 1 million Star Coins per floor. Players can anticipate more customization options and possibly new quests or challenges related to home expansion. As the game evolves, developers may continue to enhance the virtual environment, offering players new ways to interact and personalize their gaming experience. This could include new decorative items, exterior styles, or interactive features within the home.
