The Atlanta Falcons made good use of their extended break following last week's win over the Green Bay Packers. On Wednesday, the Falcons filled their final practice squad spot with veteran linebacker Brian Asamoah II, and later they signed defensive tackle Gervon Dexter to a four-year extension.
Asamoah spent his first three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings where he primarily played on special teams. While the former third-round pick has yet to develop into a quality starter, he has established himself as a versatile depth piece over the years.
Since entering the league in 2022, Asamoah has recorded 30 tackles (17 solo) with two forced fumbles over 50 career games with the Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals.
