The Atlanta Falcons placed cornerback A.J. Terrell on the injured reserve list on Tuesday afternoon, but reinforcements are on the way. According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, the Falcons are working to sign cornerback Robert Longerbeam off of the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad.
Longerbeam was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Rutgers, but he was placed on the injured reserve list and missed his entire rookie season. After being waived by the Ravens back in August, Longerbeam signed with the Eagles' practice squad.
During his final season at Rutgers in 2024, Longerbeam recorded 26 tackles (19 solo), two interceptions and 1.5 sacks. Atlanta had one roster spot available, so we don't anticipate
a corresponding transaction.
