After an eventful offseason, the Atlanta Falcons will finally kick off the 2026 NFL season this Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team hired Matt Ryan as the president of football, Ian Cunningham as the general manager and Kevin Stefanski as head coach.
While the core is largely the same, the amount of new faces on the roster reflects this regime change. The Falcons set their initial 53-man roster and practice squad last week, however, they've made numerous changes to both since the NFL's cut deadline.
Atlanta brought back defensive lineman Zach Harrison and edge rusher Bralen Trice on the practice squad. Plus, the team completed a trade for defensive tackle Gervon Dexter to bolster its front seven.
The Falcons have yet to name a QB1
for Sunday's season opener, but we expect Stefanski to reveal his starter early in the week. As we await Stefanski's decision, check out the team's updated 53-man roster and practice said (with uniform numbers) for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
