The NFC South continues to be the weirdest division in all of football. While the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints have yet to play their Monday Night Football matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers appear to be going in different directions.
The Buccaneers dropped to 0-4 following their 17-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels started in place of an injured Baker Mayfield and went 19/27 for 148 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
Despite an impressive defensive effort, the Buccaneers couldn't get the job done on offense at home and now sit alone in last place of the division standings.
As for the Panthers, they defeated the Detroit Lions, 32-26, on Sunday night to move
into first place in the NFC South (for now). Despite trailing by 13 points in the fourth quarter, the Lions nearly came back but couldn't do anything with their final possession.
Panthers quarterback Bryce Young even received MVP chants as he turned in another impressive outing in Week 4.
