The Atlanta Falcons suffered two major injuries early in Monday night's game against the New Orleans Saints. Defensive end Za'Darius Smith (concussion) and offensive tackle Jake Matthews (groin) both went down in the first quarter.
Smith took a minute to get up after a head injury and has since been ruled out for the game. Matthews went down late in the first quarter due to a groin injury and has been replaced at left tackle by backup Michael Jerrell.
Look for Samson Ebukam to replace Smith along with the few other rotational guys as the Falcons will look to secure the win without their current sack leader.
The Falcons currently hold a 21-7 lead over the Saints in the second quarter. Bijan Robinson has two touchdowns and Brian Robinson Jr. has one
score to give Atlanta an early advantage in New Orleans.
