Following the NFL is harder than ever, with more and more games landing on streaming services or being played on random days as the league is essentially printing money. Fortunately for Atlanta Falcons fans, the team's Week 1 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers is about as basic as it gets.
The Falcons are in Pittsburgh for today's 2026 NFL season opener, but it won't be tough to find. The game airs at 1 p.m. ET on FOX, and will be broadcast in a large portion of the country.
Commentators Joe Davis and Greg Olsen will call the game for FOX. Olsen, the former Carolina Panthers tight end, is one of the NFL's best in the booth, which will be a nice change of pace for Falcons fans.

Atlanta won't have either or its top two quarterbacks for Week 1. Head coach Kevin Stefanski ruled out Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa.
That means it will be Cooper Rush getting the start, assuming his back spasms don't get worse before today's kickoff. If Rush can't go, undrafted rookie Jack Strand will be Atlanta's starter in Pittsburgh.
