The Atlanta Falcons are one day away from playing their preseason finale against the Miami Dolphins. Once the game is over, the team has less the 48 hours to trim its roster from 90 players down to 53 before the NFL's Sunday deadline.
In other words, the Falcons' roster will look drastically different by Monday morning. While time is running out for those players on the bubble to carve out a role, Friday's game provides them with a chance for one final showcase before the cut deadline.
Keep your eyes undrafted quarterback Jack Strand, defensive tackle Carlos Allen Jr., wide receiver Dylan Drummond and several others hoping to get one last stock boost before the regular season.
Atlanta is expected to play the majority of its starters against the Dolphins.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski will treat Friday's game like the team's official dress rehearsal. However, since Michael Penix Jr. has been ruled out, Tua Tagovailoa will get the start at quarterback against his former team.
