Notre Dame is coming off a 52-0 victory over Rice on Saturday, and the team is not showing signs of slowing down.
With the Fighting Irish No. 3 in the latest US LBN Coaches, they are determined to extend their run past a 2-0 start.
Despite being a consensus top-three team, On3 has Notre Dame just outside the top-5 in its updated College Football Playoff bracket projections.
On3 has the Irish as the No. 6 seed hosting No. 11 Virginia in the first round of the CFP. The winner of that project game would move on to face No. 3 Georgia in the CFP quarterfinals.
Notre Dame is set to welcome Michigan State to South Bend on Saturday evening. The last time the Irish and the Spartans squared off was on Sept. 23, 2017, a game Notre Dame won 38-18 in East Lansing.
