Notre Dame men’s basketball is set to host Vanderbilt in a 2026-27 SEC/ACC Challenge matchup for the second-straight season on Dec. 2.
The Fighting Irish playing in the annual event once again was announced in June. On Tuesday, it was revealed that Vanderbilt-Notre Dame at the Purcell Pavilion will be televised on ESPN’s ACC Network at 7:15 p.m. ET.
The Irish beat Missouri, 76-71, in last year’s SEC/ACC Challenge. The two-day event will enter its fourth year this season, and Notre Dame has a 1-2 record so far in the challenge.
The Commodores are visiting South Bend for the first time since 2006. Notre Dame, who is 5-4 overall against Vandy, won 79-69 in the 2006 matchup.
The Irish are coming off a 2025-26 season where they compiled a 13-18 record
and went 4-14 in the ACC.
