Pair of Notre Dame stars listed as questionable for Stanford this weekend
Following Notre Dame’s win over North Carolina, there was some question about the status of star cornerback Leonard Moore.
Head coach Marcus Freeman didn’t give much of an update, aside from that he was going to be evaluated. On Monday during his press conference, the Irish coach shared another update on him, as he is currently questionable with a concussion. It looks like either Jayden Sanders or DJ McKinney would start in his place if he wasn’t set to go.
The other Notre Dame star that made the injury report was linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, who injured his thumb against the Tar Heels. He’s battled various injuries over the course of his Irish career, and this one has
the potential to hold him out another game. It might make sense to do so, as the Cardinal shouldn’t pose much of a challenge with BYU looming the following weekend.
There was one more name that was listed as questionable, offensive lineman Matty Augustine. He has yet to play this fall, and Freeman noted that he could see the field this weekend depending on how practice goes during the week.
Matty Augustine has been upgraded to questionable.
