No. 6 Notre Dame will be going into Saturday night's marquee matchup with No. 1 Miami (FL) a bit banged up, but the news isn't as bad as it might seem.
The big loss is linebacker Drayk Bowen, who has a right-ankle injury. And depth defensive linemen Francis Brewu and Jason Onye are questionable with knee injuries -- left for Brewu and right for Onye.
Other injuries listed are longer-term injuries, some including players that Notre Dame has already been without, such as safety Brauntae Johnson. Still, whether a player has been out all season or just left the lineup after the Navy game, Notre Dame is down several key defenders that they could use against Miami's offense.
On the other hand, Miami is possibly without star wide receiver Malachi Toney.
Miami visits South Bend on Saturday night, and a Notre Dame win will be very helpful for a Fighting Irish playoff push.
