Notre Dame junior linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa has been a bit banged up so far this season.
He missed Week 1 against Wisconsin, and reports are saying that the junior will be out for the Irish’s Saturday matchup against Stanford with a left thumb injury.
However, when he’s healthy, Viliamu-Asa is one of the top linebackers in the country. PFF College recently recognized the junior standout as the highest-graded linebacker at 92.1.
Viliamu-Asa’s grade is nearly 1.5 points more than UCLA’s Sammy Omosigho, who has a 90.7. LSU’sTJ Dottery came in third with a 90.1.
Through four games this season, Viliamu-Asa has racked up 13 tackles, a fumble recovery, an interception and a pass deflection for Notre Dame. In his career so far, he has 98 tackles, four sacks,
three fumble recoveries, a few pass breakups, three picks and six pass deflections.
