Notre Dame football will take on the North Carolina Tar Heels later this afternoon, as the interesting matchup will bring plenty of eyes.
With the game being in Chapel Hill, many who are going and who are interested in how the contest will play out are watching the weather. The temperature will stay in the low-70’s for the whole time. However, at kickoff, there is a 18% chance of rain according to weather.com, and the percentages rise as the Irish and Tar Heels continue their battle.
At 11 a.m. it goes up to 33% and stays around there at noon. However, at 1 p.m. its goes to 59% and then drops a bit to 56% at 2 p.m. as the game should be coming to an end. Good news is that there doesn’t look to be lightning in the area, so a delay most likely won’t
happen.
It looks like the potential for wet conditions is there, and the game plan could change. I’d expect Notre Dame to throw the ball early and often, and as the game continues, see the run game get more action as the weather potentially starts to get worse.
Forecast for Oct.3 & 4 at the Carolina Classic Fair: It's that time of the year for keeping rain gear and long sleeves ready for huge swings in the weather. Saturday may be dry at first in Winston-Salem; spotty rain chances arrive later in the afternoon. [Link in bio] pic.twitter.com/nj2NdVlhHk
