The All-WNBA first-and-second team nods were revealed on Saturday, and two former Notre Dame women’s basketball standouts received recognition.
Minnesota Lynx rookie point guard Olivia Miles was named to the All-WNBA first team. The honor comes after Miles was an all-star in her first full WNBA season, which led to her becoming the WNBA Rookie of the Year and an All-Rookie Team selection.
Miles set the mark for the most points scored in a season by a rookie with 790 points, which broke the record previously held by Caitlin Clark. She finished with 19.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game for the Lynx.
Las Vegas Aces shooting guard Jackie Young was named to the All-WNBA second team for the third time in her career. A five-time WNBA all-star,
Young had 18.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game for the Aces this season.
Young also guided Team USA to the FIBA World Cup title in September.
