On Wednesday evening, multiple Notre Dame coaches and players spoke with the media, and starting quarterback CJ Car may have given out some information that was supposed to be a secret until Sunday.
The star redshirt sophomore was speaking about the experience that his offensive line has as Mike Berardino posted on social media, with him mentioning Anthonie Knapp, Ashton Craig, Guerby Lambert, Will Black and Styles Prescod. When the Irish released their depth chart for Wisconsin, Prescod and Sullivan Absher were bracketed with the or designation, but Carr may have leaked the five who will join him for the first snaps of the season.
It has been quite the rise for Prescod, as many had him after an afterthought heading into this season, but he has turned
the corner. The Irish have one of the best player development programs in the country, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that one of the lower ranked prospects has made a move towards a starting position.
The Badgers don’t have elite talent upfront like other teams on the schedule, and it makes plenty of sense for Notre Dame to rotate players in during the first game to see how they work as a unit. Expect to see all six of these offensive lineman on the field Sunday night.
Did CJ Carr just reveal the starting right guard for #NotreDame?

"We have a bunch of returning guys, a bunch of guys who’ve played a bunch of ball with Knapp and Craig and Guerby and some new guys obviously in there with Will (Black) and Styles (Prescod) ... "
